2014 MDHL UPDATES

2014 MDHL UPDATED CHANGES:
 
Due to recent feedback during the registration period, the MDHL has decided to make the following changes to the League Format.
 

• League Games will be played on Saturdays only with the exception of only 2 Wednesday games. (No Sunday Games)

 

• 10 Total Games

 

• The league will be made up of 6 teams. West Michigan will again have their own Team and the other 5 will be selected through tryouts. Tryouts are opened to 9^th thru 12^th graders.

 

• League rosters will have 2 goalies and 20 skaters.

 

• Coaching Staff and evaluators comprised of former College and Pro players and coaches.

 

• No practices, so that players may train with their High School Team.

 

• Games will videoed and provided to College and Jr Coaches who have access to the website for scouting.

 

• League Fee will be $480

 

• 4 High End Showcase/Tournaments , - Motor City Cup, HPHL HB/Compuware Showcase , MSU College Showcase and the High Profile CCM International Invitational in MN. – League play will be suspended during these showcases. Cost for these Showcases are not included in League Fee.

 

• Tryout Dates for Goalie Camp are August 5, 6, 7

 

• Tryouts for League August 11,12,13,14

 

• League Play will begin August 23, 2014
