Men's Hockey Announces 2013-14 Captains

Forward Patrick Brown will serve as captain of the 2013-14 Boston College hockey team while forward Bill Arnold and defenseman Isaac MacLeod will serve as assistant captains, according to an announcement made by head coach Jerry York on Tuesday.

The trio was elected by a vote of their peers.

All three players are now completing their junior years and will lead the team as seniors.

Brown played in all 38 games in 2012-13 and recorded 11 points - five goals and six assists. A 6-foot-1, 207-pound center, Brown won 251-of-473 faceoffs as a junior.

The Bloomfield Hills, Mich., native has registered 13 points - six goals and seven assists - in 80 career games in his first three seasons. He has earned All-Hockey East Academic Team honors as a freshman and sophomore.

Arnold played in all 38 games this season and recorded 35 points - 17 goals and 18 assists. A 6-foot, 206-pound forward from Needham, Mass., Arnold has registered 91 points - 44 goals and 47 assists - in 119 career games.

Arnold is a fourth-round draft choice of the Calgary Flames in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft who was named one of Team USA's Best Three Players at the 2012 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championships in Alberta.

MacLeod played in 36 games this season and tallied seven points - two goals and five assists. A 6-foot-5, 214-pound defenseman from Nelson, British Columbia, MacLeod has tallied 16 points - two goals and 14 assists - in 102 career games during his three seasons at Boston College.

A fifth-round selection by the San Jose Sharks in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, MacLeod earned Hockey East All-Academic Team honors as a freshman and sophomore. 

 
 
 

BC finished the 2012-13 season with a 22-12-4 record, including a 15-9-3 conference mark.
