Frozen Four Features 6 MDHL Alumni

MDHL well represented in College Hockey's most prestigious tournament with 6 alumni featured in the Frozen Four.

 As the Division I College Hockey Championship Tournament was drawing to a close, four teams, Michigan, MInnesota Duluth, Notre Dame, and North Dakota, found themselves making up the "Frozen Four" and competeing against each other for the National Championship. Within those four remaining teams was a solid representation of MDHL talent. Forward Mike Voran (Livonia Stevenson) helped lead a talented Notre Dame squad to the Frozen Four before losing a close 4-3 game to Minnesota Duluth. The University of Michigan boasted the most MDHL alumni with five, including goaltenders Bryan Hogan (Detroit Catholic Central) and Adam Janecyk (Grand Rapids Catholic Central), defenseman Greg Pateryn (Birmingham Brother Rice) and Chad Langlais (Cranbrook), and forward Jeff Rohrkemper (Grosse Point North). Michigan went on to defeat rival North Dakota in their Frozen Four matchup, but fell to Minnesota Duluth, 3-2 in overtime in the National Championship.
